Using Classroom
Stream
The Stream tab houses any class announcements or functions as a spot (if you allow it on settings) for students to pose questions or comments. Stream can be thought of as a Facebook feed, just a quick spot to post announcements and for students to scroll through. Students can also find their To-Do list on the Stream page. The to-do list allows them to view their assignments, look at grades and search assignments in different manners.
Classwork
As a teacher, you can create various forms of classwork resources such as assignments, questions, files, and reports. You can even reuse previous posts.
Additionally, you can arrange the classwork topically. Automatically, the classroom is linked with Google Drive and Calendar. You can send out class invites using calendar and store class files in Drive.
People
All students and teachers in the class are shown under the People tab. You can invite students by clicking Invite students. You can only invite people who belong to your school using your domain. Teachers can see people who are yet to accept the invites and those who have joined the class.
Grades
The final tab is the Grades tab which gives you a spreadsheet-like view of assignments and grades and lets you quickly input and edit scores and comments. Although you can work with grades from the Classwork tab, the Grades tab makes it easier to view and work with many assignments at the same time.
